Short version: no cookies from this site, no tracking profiles, no ads.

Cookies and storage

This site sets no cookies and uses no local storage. Nothing from beehiiv, our newsletter provider, loads until you click “Show signup form”; after that click, beehiiv's form and its security providers set their own cookies (see Email sign-up below).

Hosting

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. As the host, Cloudflare processes technical request data (such as IP address) to deliver and protect the site, under its own privacy policy.

What our page-view beacon logs

When a page loads, and when you click a sign-up link, the page sends one small message to our own server (/go/_log). One line is logged with:

• the event (page view or sign-up click) and the campaign tag from the link, if any (for example youtube);
• the page path on this site;
• the country, as determined by Cloudflare from the request;
• whether it looks like a person, a bot or a test, and the time.

We do not store IP addresses, user agents or cookies. The user agent is read only to tell bots from people, then discarded.

Email sign-up

Sign-ups are handled by beehiiv, the newsletter service that sends the free weekly Demand Window chart. Our pages load nothing from beehiiv by default. Only when you click Show signup form (loads beehiiv) do we load beehiiv's own form, in a frame from subscribe-forms.beehiiv.com. You can also sign up directly at https://demandwindow.beehiiv.com/subscribe.

• When you sign up, beehiiv stores your email address and the sign-up time, plus the page you signed up from, on our behalf. We use it only to send the free weekly chart.
• The consent line next to the form: By subscribing you ask for the free weekly Demand Window chart by email. Your email address and sign-up time are stored by beehiiv, our newsletter provider, to send it. Unsubscribe any time.
• Once you click to show the form (or open beehiiv's page), beehiiv and the services it uses for security, bot protection and analytics (such as Cloudflare, HUMAN and Google Tag Manager) set cookies on beehiiv's domain and load fonts and scripts from third parties. Before that click, none of this happens.
• Every email has an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing stops the emails.
